地震评价（Evaluation of the earthquake） Order of the state council of the Peoples Republic of China (no. 323) The regulations on the management of earthquake safety assessment are hereby promulgated and shall take effect as of January 1, 2002. General lejuzyl November 15, 2001 Earthquake safety evaluation and management regulations Chapter I general rules Article 1 in order to strengthen the management of seismic safety evaluation, defence and mitigate earthquake disasters, protect peoples life and property safety, according to the relevant regulations of the law of the Peoples Republic of China on shock conformity, these regulations are formulated. Article 2. These regulations shall be abided by in the evaluation activities of earthquake safety in the territory of the Peoples Republic of China. Article 3 the projects built, expanded or rebuilt in accordance with the law of the Peoples Republic of China on earthquake in conformity with the provisions of these regulations, the need for seismic safety evaluation, must strictly implement the national earthquake safety evaluation specification, to ensure the quality of the seismic safety evaluation. Article 4 the competent department of seismic work under the state council shall be responsible for the supervision and administration of earthquake safety evaluation nationwide. The local peoples governments at or above the county level shall be responsible for the supervision and administration of earthquake safety evaluation in the administrative region. Article 5 the state encourages and supports scientific and technological research on earthquake safety assessment, popularize the application of advanced scientific and technological achievements and improve the level of science and technology of earthquake safety assessment.
