Code for planning and design of urban road traffic (GB 50220-95) In order to scientifically and reasonably city road traffic planning and design, optimization of city land layout, improve the operation of city traffic, to provide a safe, efficient, economic, comfortable and low pollution traffic conditions, the Ministry of construction organization and promulgated the Regulations of city road traffic planning and design norms, effective September 1, 1995. 1, scope of application It is suitable for urban road traffic planning and design of all kinds of cities in china. 2. Basic requirements for planning and design Urban road traffic planning should be based on traffic planning in the urban areas, dealing with the convergence of intercity and urban traffic, and the transportation links between towns and central cities within the scope of the city. Urban road traffic planning must be based on the overall urban planning, meet the needs of land use for transportation, and give full play to the promotion and restriction of urban road traffic on land development intensity. The urban road traffic planning includes two parts: the urban road transportation development strategy planning and the urban road traffic integrated network planning. The strategic planning of urban road traffic development should include the following contents: 1) determine the target and level of traffic development, the mode of urban traffic and traffic structure, the layout of urban road traffic network, the location of urban external traffic and the citys passenger and freight facilities, and determine the size of land use 2) put forward the important technical and economic countermeasures in the implementation of urban road transportation planning, and put forward
