To avoid accident and raise production efficiency, the operator should know the operation of filter press well and be familiar with its’ structure and filtration principle. Now we manufacture box filter, plate-frame filter and diaphragm filter press and box filter press is our main product. So this Manual is based on box type. The working principle of plate-frame one is similar with box type, so the Manual is also used for plate-frame one as a reference. (2) Briefing The principle of filter press is that the pressure difference on two side of filter cloth push the liquid in material penetrating the cloth and exiting the filter press and the material remains in filter as filter cake. Filter press is widely used in chemical, pharmacy, ceramic, sugar, dye, cement, silicate and other industry. (3) Description of type (4) Installation 1. Filter press shall be installed on cement foundation horizontally and secondary grouting is necessary.(The pedestal of thrust plate shall be fixed with bolts and the pedestal of oil cylinder shall not be fixed). To convenient discharging, one meter free space around filter should be arranged. Filter shall avoid rain and direct sunshine. 2. Connecting power. The motor shall rotate clockwise. 3. Open air cleaner and add hydraulic oil to a level lower than motor 4. Mount return pipe, stop valve and pressure gauge. 5. Mount filter cloth. 6. Final check.
