Broad-band strong motion simulation of the great Tangshan earthquake

Abstract :A 3-D velocity model of Tangshan area is constructed in this paper based on the extensive drilling data in
Tangshan area． The near-field broad-band strong motion of the 1976 great Tangshan earthquake is numerically sim-
ulated ，and the results are contrasted with the seismic intensity map and other researcher ’s results． The results of
this paper can provide some reference for earthquake prevention and disaster reduction of Tangshan City．
