Meth ods:Among reviewed 31 patients w ith losed skin avulsion from 1997 to 2005, 7 patients w ere treated w ith pun ture and drainage, 11 patients with fenestration and setting aspiration drainage, and 13 patients w ith re pair of sub utaneous and etting aspiration drainage. The signs and symptoms as well as finial diagnosis methods of all the patients w ere analysed to resear h the auses of missed diagnosis. Results: T here w ere 11 patients w ere missed diagnosis. Among 17 patients w ith even swelling, 9 patients were missed diagnosis. W ithin 14 pa tients ombined wit h fra ture, 10 patients were missed diagnosis. All the lesions were healed. Preoperative uta neous ne rosis in small area of 1 patient did not enlarge after treatment. Little ne rosis along in ision was found in two pat ients who w ere treated w ith setting aspiration during operation. Conclusion: There is high rate of misdiagnosis in losed skin avulsion injuries. Even sw elling or ombination wit h fra ture is the main ause. Pun ture, aspiration and setting aspiration during operat ion are satisfa tory sele tion to treat losed skin avul sion injuries.
