Customer relationship management. It can help companies understand their customers and respond quickly to changes in customer demand, the most popular management tool among Chinese companies. In the survey, 62 percent of the respondents used the tool, indicating that they were aware that customer information was becoming more and more important. But while CRM is already Chinas most popular management tool, it has a higher usage rate outside of China. Seventy-five percent of all companies surveyed use the tool. The proportion is even higher in other Asian countries, at 85%. In China, customer relationship management is the lowest rate of management tool, and only 1% of enterprises stop using this tool. 2. Total quality management is a systematic method to improve quality. In China, the popularity ranks second. Sixty percent of the companies surveyed used total quality management tools, very close to 61% of the worlds use, but less than 72% of the rest of Asia. Although overall quality management is ranked high in China, it has not entered the top 10 in any other region. In China, if companies are committed to the use of full quality management, their satisfaction is ranked second in all management tools. However, if attention and energy are limited, the satisfaction of using it will be much lower. This reflects a general trend in the use of management tools: greater effort is achieved with greater satisfaction than with less effort. It also illustrates the problem that management tools should not be implemented at all.
