The Standards sets regulations of pattern approval for motorcycles and mopeds, production conformability checking and limits and measurement methods for exhaust smoke emissions of emission condition test for vehicles in-use. The technical contents in the Standards are established by taking the emission standards “Snap-acceleration Exhaust Smoke Test Methods for Mopeds without Load” (CNS12299) set up by Taiwan province of China and Thailand emission standards “Safety Requirements and Emissions for Motorcycles (Phrase 4)” [TIS1650-2541 (1998)]. The Standards is issued for the first time. The appendix A and B are standard appendixes. The Standards has the effectiveness of compulsory execution according to related legal provisions.
