Methods: A total of 260 patients with COPD in community were investigated with Self-management Scale (SMS) for Chinese patients with COPD. Results: The mean score of SMS of patients with COPD in community was 156.92±36.47. Results from multiple regression analysis showed that levels of education, times of hospitalization because of COPD last year, and smoking were the influencing factors of self-management. Conclusion: The level of self-management of COPD was low in the community.
