The result sho s: the defects, such as shrinkage porosity, crack and so on, could be eliminated through severe controlling the composition of rudder horn and its smelting and heat treatment technology. The grain ould be refined after adding micr-o scale RE elements into the steel, at the same time, the shape and distribution of inclusion in the steel could be improved, the plasticity and toughness of the steel ould be remarkable increased.
