In 2007 and 2011, it worked with National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra in producing Lost Butterfly and A Benevolent Spirit. It has been 19 years since the establishment of TANG Mei-yun Taiwanese Opera Company. Ever since the third year after its establishment, the company has been selected as one of the troupes to receive support and subsides from the Ministry of Culture for years in a row. Since the fourth year’s annual production, Love and Pregnancy , its annual production every year was nominated for the Gold Bell Award in the category of traditional theater, and Who Is My Bride? further won the 42nd Gold Bell Award in 2007. TANG Mei-yun Taiwanese Opera Company has always upheld the principle of giving back to the society with the productions of Taiwanese opera. Not only did it travel to Singapore and perform at Esplanade-Theatres on the Bay for overseas compatriots, but also tour to campuses, communities, local festivals, and towns and villages around Taiwan to promote the social education.
