The whoie optimai probiem was decomposed. Then the generaiized predictive controi （GPC ）of the temperature of ammonia reactor hot spot for the stabiiity of oniine-optimization adjustment ，and boundary controi for the singie-direction factors were reaiized. Adaptive on-iine optimization of operation conditions was successfuiiy accompiished. The operation performance of ammonia reactor was improved ，the net vaiue of ammonia was increased by 0. 4 % ，and system pressure dropped by 1. 2 MPa. Key words ：adap
