Methods: 27 pat ients w ith recur rent umbar disc herniation at L to L S w ere inc uded in this study. T he atera recess inj ection w as app ied in 5 cases at ear y 4, 5 5 1 stag e, the targ etinjection method by CT inter vention in 16 cases and the combined targetinject ion method w ith CT inter vention in 6 cases at at er period . Results:A patients w er e fo ow ed up 6 mo nths to 2 y ears after t reatment . 9 cases got ex ce ent resu t , 8 cases good, 5 cases f air and 5 poor . T he ex ce ent and good rate w as 630% and the eff ective rate w as 8 15% . T here w ere 4 t imes w it h t he miss of puncture ( 1/ 9) on the f irst t ime. T he CT imag e show ed in 6 to 13 mont hs: T he prominence w as minif ied 80% to 90% in 4 cases . Conclu sion:T he tar getinj ection of co ag enase for intervertebra disk chemo ysis may be comp ementar y therapy for r ecur rent posto perative umbar disc herniation .
