Harbin Institute of Technology Harbin 150001 China Abstract An integrated model and its solution for the coordinated optimization problem considering time-varying load demand in distribution systems are proposed in this paper. According to the system load curve’s changing trend, the division process is conducted as the following two steps: the system load curve is divided preliminary in the light of its monotonicity, then the segments combination method is adopted to assure the number of load segments is less than the maximum allowable number of switching operations in a day for control devices. In each segment, the equivalent loads are adopted to determine the optimal states for the control devices.
