Mr. Chen: Good morning everyone.
All: Good morning.
Mr. Chen: Shall we get started?
All: Yes.
Mr. Chen: This morning, we’re going to talk over how to increase sales in China next year. Here you got any ideas?
Robert: I think we should make our products known by the Chinese at the very beginning of next year.
;John: I quite agree with you, Robert .We can run some more chain shops(连锁店) in some medium-sized cities(中等城市) in China, for instance, Dalian.
Mr. Chen: Could we have your comments, David?
David: Well, I think you are right, but the problem is that our products are somewhat expensive.
Robert: You mean we’ll have to reduce our prices?
David: Exactly. I think we need to cut our prices by 15%. Our marketing strategy should be to make small profits but quick returns(薄利多销).
;John : I don’t agree with you there. You know, we only make a small profit at these prices. I’m afraid we are bound to(必定) be in the red(负债). As I see it, it’s more important to improve product quality and after-sales service than to reduce prices.
Mr. Chen: I take your points. On one hand, we need to do further advertising and promotion. On the other hand, we should reduce our after-sales service. it’s a good idea to open some more chain shops in some medium-sized cities. Do you all agree?

Robert: I think we should make more advertisements which people can know more about our products.
David: But it will cost our more capital.
