Cover Letter What is a cover letter？(投稿信) The contents of a cover letter: 1) your name, address, phone, fax and e-mail address 2) title and the central theme of the article. 3) which subject/theme of the journal the material fits 4) statement why the material is important in its field and why the material should be published in the Journal (the main conclusion of the paper). 5) the declaration that the paper has not been submitted to any other journal for reviews it is the original. 6) the declaration that the paper has been read by all authors and they all agreed to submit it. 7) suggestion for who should not be the reviewer for the reason of competition More to be added: *If anyone in the field has read the paper and commented on it before submission, name these people in the cover letter, particularly if they are individuals of high standing in the field and/or if they are on the editorial board of the journal. *It‘s worth remembering that the readers may not be intimately familiar with every detail of your particular system. For this reason, it’s worth taking the time to highlight the main points/the major implications of the work without getting too bogged down 陷入in the technical details. *If its the first time anyone shows X, then thats worth highlighting - just dont forget to explain why X is so important...
