阻燃电缆标准及等级（Standard and grade of flame retardant cable） Standard and grade of flame retardant cable The main technical index of fire safety involved in cables is the flame retardancy of CO2 cables, the density of smoke and the toxicity of gases. American fire protection standards are concerned with the first two issues, but Europe and the United States have a totally different view of fire safety. The traditional concept that fire is the source of carbon monoxide (CO) gas generation and combustion process in the subsequent conversion of CO to CO2 heat release, therefore, to control the combustion process of the heat release can reduce the danger of fire. European tradition has been convinced that the release of halogen acids (HCL), gas corrosion, smoke concentrations, and gas toxicity during combustion are the major factors that determine whether people can safely get out of the fire. IEC flame retardant grade In order to evaluate the flame retardancy of cables, the IEC has formulated three standards: IEC60332-1, IEC60332-2 and IEC60332-3. IEC60332-1 and IEC60332-2 are used to evaluate the flame retardance of single cable under oblique and vertical distribution (domestic corresponding to GB12666.3 and GB12666.4 standards). IEC60332-3 (domestic counterpart GB12666.5-90) is used to evaluate the flame retardance of bunched cables when they are vertically burned. In contrast, the vertical burning of bunched cables is much more demanding in terms of their flame retardance.
