Abstract: the relationship between management and culture has a lot of arguments in academic circles. This paper argues that the two constitute an entangled ldquo, and the knot ” (complex). Management pursues universality, while culture shows particularity. The knot of the two leads to the deviation of management research. The role of culture in management includes value orientation, thinking mode selection, priority control, four aspects of habitus, studies on these four aspects of management, eventually to form a special beyond the universality of theory. The so-called Chinese management and orient management, it is in this knot in the wrong direction. A considerable amount of management culture research, in fact, is a summary of management experience and deviates from the general requirements of management.
