Methods serum IgG - type anti - natural and anti - denatured type II collagen antibodies were detected in 179 patients with RA and 171 patients with other rheumatic diseases by improved enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results the positive rates of anti natural and anti denatured type II collagen antibodies in patients with RA were 22.3% and 36.9% respectively, and 30% and 36.7% in early RA patients respectively. Of the two patients with other rheumatic diseases, 3.5% and 31.6%, respectively, were 2.5% healthy subjects. Compared with the negative group (P0.05), the detection rate of rheumatoid factor and the activity of the patients with natural type II collagen antibody were higher in RA patients than in the negative group. Anti degeneration type II collagen antibody and anti natural type II collagen antibody were positive at the same time, and the average level of CRP in patients with RA was higher. Conclusion the natural type II collagen antibody can be used as an auxiliary diagnostic marker for RA. The detection of antibodies against natural and anti denatured type II collagen helps to determine the activity of RA.
