Methods 230 patients were diagnosed as chronic atrophic gastritis by gastroscopy and pathological examination. The rapid urease test and Giemsa staining of mucosa tissue were used to detect hp. According to the situation of HP infection group, the difference of gastric mucosa gland atrophy, intestinal metaplasia and dysplasia between HP positive group and HP negative group. Results 84 cases of mucosal HP positive group 129 cases of chronic atrophic gastritis with mild atrophy of glands (65.1%), moderate (34.9%); 45 cases of mild intestinal metaplasia in 48 cases (37.2%), in 23 severe cases (17.8%); mild dysplasia in 31 cases (24%), 6 severe cases (4.6%). Compared with HP negative group, the incidence of HP positive gastric mucosa glandular atrophy, intestinal metaplasia and dysplasia were significantly increased (p 0.01).
