Among the many applications of VMware, it can provide a good environment for the classification and testing of Windows cluster. In the past, I explained how to prepare VMware for installation and configuration of clusters. Now, Im going to take you to install the Windows cluster in VMware and tell you how to test your configuration once its done.

Before you install the cluster, you have to do the following configuration in VMware:
DNS login
Domain account, private network configuration, public network configuration
Lets take a closer look at these prerequisites.
DNS login
In order to properly install the cluster, you must configure a DNS login with your cluster name and IP address on your Controller (Domain Directory) DC based on the active directory (Active). For this article, I created a host record with the IP address of 192.168.1.75, called mycluster.
domain account
The cluster will work in the domain, and you must create a domain user account. In the process of installing the cluster, the account is granted the right of the local administrator for each node. In this case, I have created a domain user account called cluster.
Private network configuration
In order for the cluster to work properly, you must configure two network cards on each VMware virtual server. The private network allows communication between each node, which is often referred to as heartbeat..
To add a network card, open VMware from the start menu. Then, select the configuration editor from the settings menu. Now, select Add and select the network adapter. Click Next and select bridge. Finally, click end. The next time you open your virtual server, it will have one more network card. Repeat these steps on each virtual machine that will be part of the cluster. In my example, I have two virtual machines (swcluster1 and swcluster2).
