Design and Realization of perspective projection algorithm based on FPGA Abstract: in the embedded 3D display system based on the perspective projection algorithm, focuses on the implementation method of perspective projection algorithm design based on FPGA, and in XILINXs SPARTAN XC3S500E to achieve the basic functions of the algorithm. The experimental data show that this algorithm has high real-time system hardware and time overhead etc.. Keywords: FPGA; perspective projection; time rendering technology of large scale terrain has been a research hotspot in the field of virtual reality, is widely used in battlefield simulation, flight simulation, electronic map and terrain roaming etc.. Based on the current technology of geographic information system on PC platform has been relatively mature, widely used in the United States, MapInfo and ArcInfo, the domestic huitu company TopMap and MapGIS at China University of Geosciences. With the extensive application of embedded system, three-dimensional geographic information system miniaturization has become a new research direction. In contrast, the GIS application system in embedded 3D terrain is still relatively less. This paper in the research of 3D terrain display algorithm based on an embedded system oriented perspective projection algorithm module design, to achieve accelerated FPGA algorithm based on embedded system greatly improves the data processing speed.
