Abstract: In recent ten years, the concept of slope ecological prot ection has emerged and t he relevant practices are
booming. It is urgent t o develop a new met hod for analyzing t he st ability of slope covered with vegetation because t he
inf luences of vegetation on the st abilit y of slope have to be considered. Based on the summary of t he existed resear
ches, this paper puts forward a new method for stability analysis of sandy soil slope covered with veget ation. A s t he
dist ribution principle of root in soil and t he improvement of soil shearing strength caused by roots are considered in
the met hod, t he method could be put into practice in the near f uture.
