A bstrac t: Extra- curriculum sport is an mi portant component for realizing the goal ofChinas physical education. The active
participation in sports after class helps to cultivate studentslife- long physical education ideology and enhance their self-
consciousness ofphysical education. Using themethod of questionnaire, data collection andmathematical statistics, the paper
investigates and analyzes the conditions, contents, forms of extra- curriculum sports of college students in Fujian ( including
students from FuzhouUniversity, XiamenUniversity, Jmi eiUniversity andHuaqiao University) and their interests and atti
tudes towards extra- curriculum sports, thus providing suggestions for better development of extra- curriculum sports of col
lege students.
