Simon Bell and Anne Spirn both were important promoters and explorers of landscape pattern and landscape language and also have established the theory of landscape architecture and its teaching system. This study compares the origin, development, contents and characteristics of Simon Bell and Anne Spirn on landscape pattern and landscape teaching system, and based on this and combined with the landscape ecology teaching practices of the School o
