Under the comprehensive analysis of t he wat er quality condit ions, pollution sources of the typical w atershed in Liaoning province and the characteristics of pollutants, onedimensional model w as selected to calculat e t he water environmental capacit y of the t ypical watershed. Basis of the river funct ion zoning case, com bined the various wat er qualit y cross section of the typical watershed and t he monitoring data f rom the hydrological stations, the w ater environment al capacity was calculated on the main pollutant COD in different guaranteed rate 90% , 50% , 20%) , t he w at er environmental capacit y of the river in 50% is 2 520. 71 t/ d, and base on the results, the measures were put forward to further improve the w at er environment for the typical watershed.
