艾滋病合并隐球菌脑膜炎18例临床分析（Clinical analysis of 18 cases of AIDS associated cryptococcal meningitis） Clinical analysis of 18 cases of AIDS associated cryptococcal meningitis 2011-01-17 Wang, Micha, ST, Justino, OB [Abstract] objective to improve the knowledge of AIDS (AIDS) combined with cryptococcal meningitis. Methods a total of 18 patients with cryptococcal meningitis combined with AIDS were retrospectively analyzed in the Bata Hospital of Equatorial guinea. Results the main clinical manifestations of 18 AIDS patients with cryptococcal meningitis were fever, severe headache, extreme fatigue, limb pain, meningeal irritation, loss of weight and dehydration. Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) cultures were all new Cryptococcus neoformans. The positive rates of smear and cryptococcal polysaccharide capsule antigen (ELISA) were 77.8% (14/18), 94.4% (17/18). Conclusions cryptococcal meningitis is one of the most common opportunistic infections in AIDS and one of the major causes of death.
