Only a small number of families (about 1/5) want aid from social institutions, charities or churches. As a result, most of the familys hopes were empty. Families rarely help pay rent (about 1/6), and financial assistance from other sources (or for other purposes) is rarer. In short, the cash strapped Americans believe they can get help from their relatives and friends, but such trust is unfounded. But as economist Timothy Taylor (Timothy Taylor) said, too many people in life experience deep disappointment, this disappointment left them with a lasting shadow.
