提升域器或降级为独器（Upgrade domain or degrade to a single device） This article shows you how to lift a domain controller in Windows 2000 or downgrade it to a separate server. Upgrading your server to a domain controller is the process of installing Active Directory services on this server. To downgrade the domain controller is to delete the Active Directory and switch to using the local user account system (UAS). Before you upgrade your server to a domain controller, you must plan your structure so that you can best adapt to organizational needs and network topology. When you upgrade your server to a domain controller, the administrator has the following options: Install the first domain controller in the new directory forest Install the first domain controller in the new domain directory tree Install the first domain controller in the new subdomain Install an extra domain controller in the domain directory tree Remove Active Directory from the domain controller When name resolution occurs, the domain name system (DNS) service is an integral part of the Active Directory.
