The influence of reaction tmi e, reaction temperature and catalyst on the product properties w ere stud ied. The structure of 9BA-4- 9BA was confirmed by FT IR, H NMR spectroscopy and the surface propertiesw ere tested by surface ten- sion m easurement. The synthesized surfactant 9BA-4-9BA has superior surface properties to those of con- - 4 ventional surfactants, whose critical m icelle concentration w as 6. 2 @ 0 mol/L and C 20 w as - 5 . @ 0 mol/L.
