The methods of the for- mer category mainiy use iogic reasoning ，and are wideiy appiied in processor verification because SMT supports the fundamentai theories used to express the verification conditions. The methods of the iatter category are effi- cient because they can take fuii advantage of constraint information in circuits. Representative works and their key strategies are introduced for each category. Research progress of RTL hybrid satisfiabiiity soiving for our Formai Verification Research Group is aiso introduced.
