Architecture and Civil Engineering School, UST Inner Mongolia, Baotou 014010, China) Abstract Precise sunlit distance is important to puting land resoruces to scientific and rationai use.The use has to be up to the national standards of environmental protection of buildings. Land resources are not inexhaustible and therefore,it is assential to measure the precise distance between buildings. So calculating the best sunlit distance according to the principle of sunlit is necessary. The thesis calculates the best sunlit distance and the sunlit distances of different directions.The thesis also explains how to make better use of existing earth resource to get the economical effect in designing and arranging architectures so that it will make economic benefits finally.
