Methods:HPLC was adopted to determine the content of phillyrin, the mobile phase was acetonitrile-water（25∶75）,the velocity was 1.0 mL#8226;min-1, the UV detection wavelength was 277nm, the sampling volume was 10mL, the temperature of column was 30℃. Results: Under the selected Chromatography condition the phillyrin was observed in a good separation degree, a good linear with range of 0.4348~4.348μg, r=0.9999, the average recovery was 98.9% and RSD was 0.68%（n=6）. The content of phillyrin in Fructus Forsythiae from different habitats is different, of which the content of phillyrin in Fructus Forsythiae from Luonan(Shaanxi), Shaoxian(Hubei) and Chengdu(Sichuan) are higher than that of others.Conclusion:The method is simple, sensitive, accurate and with good reproducibility.
