It has wide prospects on drill and well repair. Top Drive Drilling Equipment (Top Drive for short) is a new-type petroleum drilling equipment which replaces rotary table. It is a high-tech product which is integrated with machinery， electric and hydraulic system. It has many advantages， such as makeup flexible， operation safety， high efficiency， etc.principle of Top drive drilling rig is described and its development status and future is also discussed. Next， the overall structure of Top drive drilling rig is designed， which the design of the main parts of Top drive drilling rig is followed. As a drilling equipment integrated with machinery， electricity， liquid and information，power tap， the guide track of pipe-handling equipment and the auxiliary equipment are designed. Finally， the assembly graph of the main parts of the Top drive drilling rig is drawn.
