This is because both verbal and written language are tools for expressing ideas, but they are two different expressions of the mental nature and the objects of expression. We can not simply use the written language training instead of oral language training, because students in learning, work and life often need to alternate oral language and written language, both are indispensable. They need both literary grace and eloquence. Only in this way can they become a new person who fully grasps and uses the language of the motherland.
There are many ways and means to train students oral expression ability. In all the language teaching process, can be planned to strengthen the training of oral expression ability. Here are some of the training methods we often use.
Read aloud and recite. Reading and reciting is a way of expressing written language in spoken language. It can make the students oral English rigorous training, and it is an effective means to improve students oral expression ability. Reading and reciting, in addition to having a deeper understanding of the text and enhancing the memory of the students, aims at improving the students correct and expressive speaking ability. Reading can also enhance the students sense of language, and in the process of repeated reading, the text of the language into their own language, increase vocabulary, learn a variety of sentence patterns, improve the ability to express oral english.
Reading aloud requires pronunciation to be correct, clear, not missing syllables, not long tail rhyme. Make sure the proper intonation. Punctuation should be clear. Use the sound level, weight, speed, express the ideological and emotional poetry.
