Classification of prepositions:
Simple preposition: about (about...)...... Near), above, across, after, against, along, among, around, at, before, below, behind, beside (in...... Beside), besides (in addition to)...... Also) between, but, by, down, during, except, for, from, in, like, near, of, off, since, on, over, past (over), round (=around), and (from)...... Since...... After), through (through); through...... Comparison of the usages of confusing prepositions:
1:in, on, and at represent differences in time
(1) in: means in a period of time, often with morning, afternoon, evening, year, month, day, week, century, spring, summer, autumn, winter and so on. Such as: in, the, morning, in, April, in, two, weeks, in, one, month, in, a, year, in 2012, in, summer and so on;
(2): on: means specific day. It is a definite date. It is often used on Sunday, Monday morning, March 8th, etc.. Such as: on, Sunday, on, Friday, afternoon, on, May 3, on, a, spring, day, on, Christmas, day, on, one, s, birthday, on, a, hot,, day, etc.;
(3): at: represents a point in time, which means a little time, in this sense, contrary to in, such as: at, five, O, clock, at, no
