pp,pvc,pps,asa 塑料特性、成型工艺、用途（PP, PVC, PPS, ASA plastic properties, molding process, use） PP plastic property, molding process and Application PP chemical and physical properties of polypropylene PP is a semi crystalline material. It is harder than PE and has a higher melting point. Because the PP temperature of homopolymer is more than 0C, it is very brittle, so many commercial PP materials are random copolymer of 1~4% ethylene or block copolymer with higher ratio of ethylene content. Copolymer type PP material has lower thermal distortion temperature (100C), low transparency, low gloss and low rigidity, but has stronger impact strength. The strength of PP increases with the increase of ethylene content. PP VEKA softening temperature is 150C. Because of its high crystallinity, the surface stiffness and scratch resistance of this material are very good. There is no environmental stress cracking in PP. Usually, PP is modified by adding glass fiber, metal additive or thermoplastic rubber. The PP flow rate is MFR in the range 1~40. The low MFR PP material has better impact resistance, but its strength is lower. For the same MFR material, the strength of the copolymer type is higher than that of the homopolymer. As a result of crystallization, the shrinkage of PP is quite high, generally 1.8~2.5%. And the direction uniformity of shrinkage is much better than that of PE-HD. By adding 30% glass additives, the shrinkage rate can be reduced to 0.7%. Homopolymer and copolymer based PP materials have excellent moisture resistance, acid base corrosion resistance and solubility resistance. However, it has no resistance to aromatic hydrocarbons (such as benzene), solvents, chlorinated hydrocarbons (carbon tetrachloride), solvents, etc..
