Beihai(北海) --My hometown Introductions Beihai means “northern sea” in Chinese and lies in the south of Guangxi. Beihai is a coastal city which has over 1,660,000 of populations. It is known as a popular travel destination in Guangxi and many people have a vacation in Beihai every year. Attractions for tourist Do you like pearls? People often go to Beihai for pearls. You can see the pearls everywhere . So Beihai is also named of a city of pearl. Besides, there are many attractions in Beihai. 1. Silver Beach at Beihai It is the most attractive place for tourists in Beihai. It was said that the sand of silver beach will become silver under the sunshine. The silver beach has been known as the winner of sandbeach in China with flat beach、fine and white sand、mild temperature of water、soft waves, no sharks.  Musical Fountain It is on the silver beach. You can see a huge ball with some beautiful women on the centre of fountain. There are many older people like to go to there for dancing and walking in the evening. 2. Weizhou Island It is the largest and youngest volcano island in China. At the same time, Weizhou Island is one of the most beautiful island of China. Lots of new couples prefer to take the wedding photo in there. 3. Zhuhai Old Street The old street was built in 1883 and the history of old street has over one hundry years. The buildings of Old street are in the style of Roman architecture. 4.
