The Chinese new year is called spring festival, it most happens at the end of January or the beginning of February. When it is approaching, every member of the house will clean the house completely. Also, people like to buy some new clothes. On the Spring Festival Eve people would get together to have a big dinner which is called tuan yuan and let off firecrackers . What’s more, the old people would give children lucky money in red paper for the coming year. However ,the basic purpose of the spring festival is to make the whole family happy and healthy.
