Received: 13 July 2012; in revised form: 3 August 2012 / Accepted: 7 September 2012 / Published: 14 September 2012 Abstract: A new trinuclear Cd (II) complex [Cd (L) (2,2-bipyridine) ] 3 6 3 [L = N-phenylsulfonyl-L-leucinato] has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR and X-ray single crystal diffraction analysis. The results show that the complex belongs to the orthorhombic, space group P2 2 2 with a = 16.877(3) Å, b = 22.875(5) Å, 1 1 1 3 −3 c = 29.495(6) Å, α = β = γ = 90°, V = 11387(4) Å , Z = 4, D = 1.416 μg·m , c −1 μ = 0.737 mm , F (000)
