In American education, we had many misunderstanding misreading; means misleading, so that the correct misreading itself means the origin of education reform.
Education does not exist in isolation, and ultimately the power to support and influence the direction of education is culture.

Once read such a report: more than 20 years ago, China sent a delegation to the United States to investigate basic education. After returning to the delegation submitted a report: the level of American students regardless of ability are complacent; the second grade primary school students illiterate a bucket, we all talk about inventions; students in the classroom is winking...... The conclusion is: the basic education has been regarded as hopeless! It can be predicted that after 20 years, Chinas science, technology and culture will catch up with and surpass the United states.
The same year, the United States also sent a delegation to visit Beijing, Shanghai and other places, also wrote a report, the conclusion is: China is the worlds most diligent, learning with grades and any countries are the best. It can be predicted that after 20 years, China will be far behind the United States in terms of technology and culture.
This is really an interesting contrast: different investigators examine different educational phenomena and arrive at the exact same conclusion! Unfortunately, this common conclusion is not correct. What are the reasons for the biased conclusion? I often think about it.
