The results showed that Zhisou Huatan tablet could obviously prolong the cough incubation period of guinea pig induced by citric acid, reduce the frequency of cough; can significantly reduce ammonia spray induced cough; respiratory tract of mice could significantly increase the phenol red output, could prolong the latent period of asthma in guinea pigs. It is suggested that Zhike Huatan pills has antitussive, expectorant and antiasthmatic effects.
