Correspondent: JIANG Xiao, Email: jx 235 @ hotmail. com) Abstract: An aggregate equal load function w as de eloped and applied to the load distribution on a doublestand mill during hot strip rough rolling. T he rolling effects of horizontal and edger rolls w ere both taken into account during load distribution, and iterati e computations w ere done alternately along the w idth and thickness of work piece by irtue of the equal load function to optimize the rolling schedule step by step. During external iteration an automatic readjusting operation was pro ided for the number of passes w hen o erloading occurs in rolling process. T hus, a pass schedule system softw are w as pro ided w ith a calculation example gi en, and its result and computation speed w ere discussed and erified. In addition, some solutions w ere gi en to the problems found in the online pass schedule based on the approach proposed.
