I. overview
The English conversation used in the hotel is basically Business English, slightly different from the English used in everyday conversation, and pays more attention to etiquette. Formal English often misunderstood as English is very difficult, in fact, as long as the use of certain form sentences and words, you can. Such as:
Informal English
What s, your, name, May, I, have, name, your?
Whats your name? May I have your name please?
Do, you, want, some, tea, Could, you,, like, some, tea?
Do you want some tea? Would you like some tea?
Over, here, please., Could, you, come, this, way, please?
This way please。 Could you come this way please?
* Dont say OK, Sure, Yeah, and so on, and say Certainly, Sir.
* Hey, Uh-huh, Hang, on, etc. are not suitable for use in hotels.
* Dont say I don t know.. Dont know is a very rude saying.
You can say just, a, moment, please., I, ll, check, that, for, you. (please wait a moment, Ill confirm it for you), and then someone with the ability to come to help.
* for male guests, it is entitled Sir; in the face of female guests, it is entitled Ms.
When greeting guests, it is best to say Excuse me, Sir (Ms), do not directly call Mr. or Ms., as to call a child, you can directly use Excuse me, but you can not directly call boy or girl.
* look squarely into each others eyes to show your confidence and sincerity. But its important to look into the other persons eyes and not stare irrationally.
* make use of gestures and body language when foreigners face language barriers. But be careful when using gestures, because gestures are very different for different countries and peoples.

(1) in formal English expressions, the interrogative basic sentence patterns can be divided into the following four types:

3. Would you ~!
4.Shall I ~?
