Abstract:The drift error is themain factor that affect the precisionof fiber opticgyroscope(FOG) .Allanvariancemethod,as
a common tool to analyze frequency stability in timedomain,can effectively separate the mutual affect of errors.In this pa
per,we propose adynamic Allan variance(DAVar) methodtoanalyze thedatameasured by aFOG.Allkinds of random noi
ses are analyzed in sources andcharacteristics,which may be the reasons of drift errors of FOG.DynamicAllan variance a
nalysismethod can determine thecoefficients of random drift,anddescribe the stability of random signal varying with time.
Results of simulation have proved thismethod iseffective to researchFOG random drift.
