BOATS AND HOUSES THE POLYNESIAN WAY Part 1 Listening text As you can see, here behind me is one of their boats. To build a boat like this, you need a very tall, straight tree. You first cut down the tree and remove the branches. Then you cut the tree in half so you have two long pieces of wood. You use one piece to make the boat. Remove the inside for a person to sit in.
