西方企业一般培训理论综述(A review of general training theories in Western firms)
General training refers to the training offered by an enterprise to bring about external training to the real business. Are companies willing to invest in this kind of external training? How do you determine the level of investment and costs associated with general training? These problems have attracted the attention of Western labor economists. This paper attempts to systematically and briefly analyze and summarize the general training theory of enterprises.
I. early research and general training theory of Becker
Enterprise training has always been the focus of economists. Dry term economists recognize that under market economy conditions, adequate levels of skills can be achieved through training, but also indicate the problems that may be faced by enterprises in the implementation of on-the-job training. For example, the economist Pigou thinks, because employees can use training skills for other employer services, staff motivation is not enough when the struggling business skills training investment. He suggested that the government should direct subsidies for enterprise in-service training.
Becker (1964) has carried on the inspiration theory analysis to the general training, has provided the theory foundation for the later enterprise training research. He believes that competition in the labor market, every enterprise pay the wage rate is determined by the marginal productivity of the enterprise he really, completely general training will be useful for many enterprises, and the marginal product of all of these companies are in the same range increase, so the wage rate and the marginal product the increment of exactly the same, and provide the training companies also will not get any revenue. The employees are the only beneficiaries. A rational enterprise can provide general training only if employees are required to pay full training.
