Editors note: lean production is a method of assembly line manufacturing. It was originally developed for the manufacture of TOYOTA motors, also known as TOYOTA production systems. The goal of lean production is described as getting the right things at the right time, in the right place, while minimizing waste and adapting quickly to changes in the outside world.. Lean manufacturing is a fashionable word in the manufacturing industry, but it seems strange to the enterprise. Today, lets go into lean production and uncover its mystery.
Now our understanding of lean manufacturing is very backward, so many people think that lean production is a tool to make progress, but I would say that this is a wrong understanding.
In the last twenty years, many people outside the Toyota Auto Body Co have increased their emphasis on lean production. Various departments, companies and industries have set off an upsurge of learning and accepting this idea. Now, weve found a lot of benefits from lean production, but there are many problems at the same time.
The biggest obstacle that prevents top managers from realizing the benefits of lean production is their perceptions and attitudes towards lean manufacturing. Many people see lean production as a tool, a project, or an initiative based on tools. Their view of lean production has cost many firms the opportunity to better serve their end customers, while leaving them away from the business objectives of gaining more revenue and profits.
In the investigation of the next important thing, it is easy to find that many companies integrate different ways of continuous improvement as their most important thing. Its easy to do because they often share their experiences and ideas, such as reducing variables.
