In the world of economic globalization, regional economic integration today, the rapid development of science and technology, the global economic environment is also changing moment. In order to enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises, in order to cope with the diversification of downstream customers demands and the bargaining of upstream suppliers, many enterprises have to form alliances with competitors and related enterprises.
As a new form of organization, strategic alliances are attractive for a variety of reasons, but because of their inherent instability and loose organizational structure, they bring great challenges to management. According to relevant data, although the strategic alliance increases at an annual rate of 30%, its failure rate is between 30% - 60%. International strategic alliances are faced with more management problems, such as cultural conflicts in the alliance, because they are transnational joint ventures.
I. international strategic alliances
International strategic alliance from different countries refers to two or more than two common strategic interests and peer business strength of the companies involved in the business activities of the cooperative association, in order to achieve market share, make use of resources and other strategic objectives. These activities may include people from research and development to sales and services, and value chain activities.
