Unit 3 Can you tell me more about the Mid-Autumn Festival? Lesson 9 Hooray! Halloween is coming. It’s on October 31st. Children dress up at night. We knock on doors and say “Trick or treat”. We enjoy dressing up as superheroes or aliens . We get candies. We must have a lot of fun and get a lot of candies. Clifford dressed up as a ghost on Halloween. They had a big party. Children and Clifford had a lot of fun. They bobbed for apples. It’s difficult but interesting. Then Mommy told us a ghost story. But we weren’t afraid. After the party, Clifford and his friends went trick-or-treating. But they didn’t have much luck. It was time to go to bed anyhow. Halloween was over. Most children’s favourite animal is the Vampire Bat. They are high on the Halloween list. Halloween would not be fun without witches. A witch is always a woman. She has special powers and practices black magic. Bobbing for apples You cant have a Halloween party without playing this classic game! Its easy - all you have to do is to float apples in a large tub filled with warm water.? The object of the game is to grab an apple in your mouth without using your hands.? To make things even more challenging, try to remove the stems from the apples. Happy bobbing! Homework : 1.Make a comic book or a poster of Halloween. 2. Tell more about Halloween to your parents or friends.
