The system can turn 10kV voltage level into 0.4kV low-voltage supply by step-down substation to supply the building in our school. Many aspects needs to be considered in power supply and distribution system design. Analysis of the substation load and the user according to the user data to a corresponding load was calculated, in order to reduce the line loss, improve power factor, determine the user reactive power compensation device. In addition, the choice of a variety of transformers, and then determine the electrical substation main wiring mode, then choose the substation of high and low voltage electrical equipment, finally determine the whole school in the substation main wiring diagram. The design of power supply and distribution system includes: the school existing system analysis, substation’s address and layout, load calculation, selection of equipment, transformer, the form of the main wiring, lightning protection and grounding.
